Microsoft reverses course on Xbox Live Gold price increase

Earlier today Microsoft announced that they would be increasing the price of its Xbox online service, Xbox Live Gold. Now, the console maker is reversing that increase after a vocal backlash online from fans. Microsoft originally increased Xbox Live Gold $1 for a one-month membership, a total of $10.99 per month. Three-month memberships were increasing to $29.99, a $5 increase. The last increase was a six-month membership would jump up to $59.99, the previous price of a year membership.
