Schedule for FLASHPOINT Season 1 announced

Schedule for FLASHPOINT Season 1 announced

FLASHPOINT has released the full schedule for its inaugural season of the league, which is set to kick off on Friday, March 13 and run through April 19. A day prior to the season start, FLASHPOINT will also hold an event where teams will draft themselves into one of three groups.

The inaugural season of FLASHPOINT CS:GO tournament will be held entirely in the company's Los Angeles studio including the finals, which were initially planned to take place in Stockholm, however, due to coronavirus concerns, the organisers opted to play out the whole season in the City of Angels.

The league will begin with two double-elimination group stages, where we will see three groups of four teams each. Both stages of the competition will be then used for seeding the teams into the double-elimination playoffs, which are scheduled to kick off on later next month, on Thursday, April 9.

Even though there are only a couple of days before the season begins, the organisers have not yet announced the name of last three teams who will be in attendance. There are, however, confirmations that FunPlus Phoenix (who recently acquired Heroic's CS:GO roster) will attend the event, while both HAVU and Chaos have reportedly received invites.

The group selection show for FLASHPOINT will be held on Thursday, March 12, where we will see teams draft themselves into groups - a unique feature of FLASHPOINT League. The league organisers also unveiled the full schedule which will divide the competition into three stages - Phase 1, Phase 2 and Playoffs.
