Elise Nerfed in Team fight Tactics Riot Games

The Public Beta Environment for Riot Games’ Teamfight Tactics has revealed a bunch of nerfs to some of the more popular heroes, most notably, Elise.

Riot has changed the stats of Elise and has made her far less viable an option when considering the different Origins of the Champions. Her base armour has been reduced by five and her mana has been increased from 75 to 100 too. While that may sound good, all if means is that she needs to attack more and take more hits from enemies to get to the 100 mana before she’s able to summon her Spiderlings. The number of which, has also been reduced. Instead of her having two, three and four Spiderlings as she levels up, it’s now been reduced to one, two and four.

In the patch notes, you’ll also notice that Shapeshifters’ max HP bonus has been reduced from 100% to 60%, another nerf that affects Elise, as well as a handful of other Champions. There are also some nerfs related to Demons too, another category where Elise stands. They now have their chance to mana burn decreased from 35% to 25% at 2 Demons, and 60% to 50% at 4 Demons.

While it does seem like there are a lot of changes to some of the more popular meta strategies, some see this as a positive thing as mana burn and glacials are seen as anti-fun meta, so while we do feel bad for Elise, maybe it’s in the best interest of the game.

Elise changes: Base armor -5, Mana increased from 75 to 100, Spiderlings decreased from 2,3,4 to 1,2,4.

Demons changes: Chance to burn mana decreased from 35% and 60% at 2 and 4 to 25% and 50% respectively.

Shapeshifters max bonus hp reduced from 100% to 60%.

Some things that were patched earlier but didn't see mentioned:

 

Gunslingers 4 passive bonus capped at 3 units from anyone in range. So essentially u only hit 1 extra person from 2 passive bonus. Pirates still OP (?) Gunslingers still decent with items like red buff, shiv, shrinking blade, disarm and hush.

 

Brand mana increased from 100 to 125

Also, another important thing is that AS scales of base AS now instead of giving a flat amount which it did in live (so overall weaker now)

Your champ would have to have at least 0.75 Base AS for recurving to give same AS as in live. (20*0.75 = 15%)

Most champs have lower than that including ADCs (Vayne has 0.65) so overall weaker. Same with guinsoos and wild bonus.
